Debora Coombs

Debora Coombs is a Fellow of the British Society of Master Glass Painters. She studied stained glass at Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland; The Swansea Institute, Wales; and received an MFA from London's Royal College of Art in 1985.

Debora was Head of Glass for the School of Public Art at Chelsea College of Art in London from 1994-96 and has taught stained glass at major British art schools. In the USA she has taught workshops at the Pilchuck Glass School WA; Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts,  North Adams MA; IS-183 Art School of the Berkshires, Stockbridge MA; and at the Antrim School of Millard Studios, Antrim NH.

Debora’s stained glass has been exhibited and published widely. Her commissioned work now spans more than twenty-five years and her stained glass and is held in private collections on both sides of the Atlantic. She immigrated to the USA with her family in the mid-1990’s to complete twenty stained glass windows for St Mary’s Cathedral in Portland Oregon.
