Tom Krepcio Tom Krepcio began working with stained glass 37 years ago, starting as a hobbyist at
the age of 11. He began working as a stained glass professional in 1980.
He has also worked as a Teacher, Film Director, Animator, Computer Graphic Artist,
and a Balloon Delivery Guy.
Spiritually and professionally, his primary vocation is stained glass.
Tom has displayed his work at prestigious venues such as the
Smithsonian Craft Fair, demonstrated at the Glass Art Society
Conference, and exhibited widely. In 1987, he won the Best of Show -
Judges Award and Highest Technical Excellence at the SGAA "Open International Competition & Exhibition" at The Corning Museum of Glass.
Tom is a pioneer in the use of computer technology for designing and
fabricating stained glass, incorporating computer related technology since 1992.
In working for other studios, he has designed, fabricated or restored hundreds
of stained glass panels over the past 28 years.
On his own, he has designed thousands of stained glass pieces,
and turned a few hundred of them into finished pieces, including commissions
and many small autonomous works.
He has more ideas regarding new directions in stained glass than can ever be
realized in one lifetime.
