The American Glass Guild Bulletin Board is an open discussion board.
All persons interested in seeking information and or exchanging
information related to the stained glass field is welcome to participate.

Knowing one another is a key component to sharing useful information.

Registration Instructions and Guidelines

First, click where it says "JOIN TODAY!"  It is on the lefthand side of your screen. You will need to fill out all the information that is on the registration form.

An e-mail will be sent to the Administrator, noting that there is a new person that has registered. You should receive an automatic e-mail that will instruct you to “complete the registration process”.

It is important that you respond to this e-mail so that your registration can be completed.

If you do not receive an e-mail about your registration, the problem can be that your spam filter is set too high, thus stopping the message from getting to you.

AOL members may also find some troubles with this Activation e-mail. AOL's Spam Filters interpret a lot of "Activation" emails as spam.

Users will either have to reduce the strength of their Spam Filter, or check the Spam Folder for items.

If you still do not receive an email confirmation send an email to and request to be manually entered.

Once registered, you will need to login every time you come to the discussion board to participate, unless you want to participate anonymously.
Please remember your password. If you do forget your password, you can always have a new temporary password sent to you from the login page.

Some terms that you should know:

Forum - A group of messages about a specific subject (New work, repair, etc.).
Topic - A specific message about a specific subject,.
Post - That's what you do to ask a question or start a new Topic.

More Options

There are many options that you have with the Discussion Board.
Once you have logged in, you can click on “My Account” and choose several different items that can be altered.

“Watched Topics” is where you can check the small boxes on the left side of your screen to receive e-mails notifying you of all posts made on each topic you check.

“Watched Forums” is where you can follow a specific forum by checking on the small box on the left side of your screen. Just choose which forum you want to be e-mailed about.

“Profile” is where you can update your personal information.

“Preferences” is where you can customize your view of the Discussion Board
Please take note of the “Miscellaneous” section of this page.

Check which items you are most comfortable with.

“Avatar” is where you can add that little picture next to your name when you post a message.

How to post a new message?

Posting is done by clicking on the “New Topic” button on the right hand side of your screen.
Responding to a specific message can be done by clicking on the “reply” button on the right side of the screen when you are reading the message.
