David Wilson
David
Wilson is a glass art designer living in central NYS. He
completed a 4-year fine art program at Midlesborough College of Art,
Yorkshire in 1991 and received the National Diploma in Design (NDD).In 1962, he completed one year of postgraduate studies in stained glass and
mural painting at the Central School of Arts, London. He immigrated to the USA
in 1963 and began working for the Rambusch Decorating Co. in NYC. In 1978, he
moved to upstate NY and set up shop as an independent designer and fabricator
and, in 2002, he established WRW Studio in Charlotteville, NY in partnership
with Walter Riesen and Trevor Wilson.
During a 40-year career in stained glass he has completed numerous
commissions for religious buildings, corporations, public institutions,
and private residences. Currently he and WRW are working on a 2000
square foot atrium public art project for the new Greystone Psychiatric
Hospital in Morris Plains, NJ.
