Tony Serviente-Introduction to Glass Eye
July 10th, 9:00am - 4:30pm
Service Description
Beginner/intermediate level Glass Eye is a C.A.D. program designed specifically for stained glass, and it does it very well. You will learn the fundamentals of its usefulness by creating both free form, as well as symmetric designs. It excels at easy editing of the design elements, color changes, materials calculation and credible client presentations. You'll look at stained glass design in a new way, and if you're like me, will quickly switch from paper and pencil to the PC, without a glance backward. No experience is necessary, but a basic comfort with computer use is required, as well as a loaded and working version of Glass Eye either on a PC with Windows 10 or 11, or a Mac with cross platform capabilities. You will learn how to create designs for stained glass windows using the core functions of Glass Eye. Line creation, making perfectly symmetry, adding color, deleting, altering and adding design elements without re-doing the entire design, and materials calculations will be covered, as well as associated topics.
